Voices of the Daughters of Zelophehad (V-DOZ) was founded on March 10, 2020, by three members: Shade Fashola (President), Juliana Talabi (Secretary Worldwide), and Christiana Ogunkoya (Public Relations Officer) from Dublin, Ireland, while the President and Secretary are from United States. Its inception coincided with a global lockdown caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The group held its meetings every Wednesday at 3:00 PM US Eastern Time. At the outset, the members committed to a seven-week period of prayer and fasting to seek divine guidance for the development of their ministry and to name the organization.
During these seven Wednesdays, the Holy Spirit revealed the ministry’s objective: to be Peace Restorers for Women of All Nations, a prophecy shared by Prophetess Juliana Talabi. The ministry’s name, Voices of the Daughters of Zelophehad, was chosen by Shade Fashola, with Christiana Ogunkoya suggesting the idea of an annual pilgrimage to celebrate the organization’s anniversary.
The name of the ministry draws inspiration from the biblical account of the Daughters of Zelophehad in Numbers 27:1-7.
